Udell Fire Tower

The Udell Fire Tower is a pre-fabricated, 100-foot tall steel tower. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. After being built by the CCC, it was in use from 1936 to the mid 1960s and is the only remaining fire tower in the Manistee National Forest.

This tower is located within the Big M Recreation Area of the Manistee National Forest, just 0.2 mile east of the NCT. The base elevation is 1000 feet.
